8/18/2013 6:00:00 AM Van donation to aid seniors, disabled
Hospice Family Care Director of Operations Brenda Eakin (left) and Patient Care Coordinator Darlene Valencia (right) give keys to a 2006 Ford van to Yvonne Napolitano, executive director of Adult Care Services (ACS). Hospice Family Care made the donation to ACS because of their shared vision in serving seniors and adults with illnesses and disabilities in the quad-cities. The van will be used for various needs associated with serving seniors and adults with disabilities.
The ACS programs include My Care Partner Non-Medical In-Home Care, The Susan J. Rheem Adult Day Centers and The Margaret T. Morris Center residential assisted living community dedicated solely to dementia care. The organizations rely largely on donations and foundation support as nonprofit 501(c)3 entities.
