I was truly touched by Claudia even though I met her in her final days of life. The love that radiated from her and her family was like a bright light. I am a blessed woman that I was invited into their life. She is missed. Thank you Widrick family for sharing your love and your blessings with me. I wish I could come to the celebration of life but I will be working that day but I will say a prayer at noon. Please stop by and see us as we really enjoyed your love and your smiles. Please give Dad a hug for me!!
In Gods Love, Julie James

@William Widrick

I sincerely apologize for the poor wording on my comment. I was not attempting to insinuiate lack of effort on the part of the family. It was lack of effort on part of the obituary section of the Daily Courier. In no way did I think that any of your family would have anything to do with this.

I did not have a chance to listen to your phone message until after 9:30 p.m. on Monday night, and will be calling you tomorrow morning.

Well I surely am sorry that John VT is so troubled by the lack of effort in MY MOMS obituary.Takes a lot of nerve to knock something you had NO input with. Just for your information the lack of a write up was not taken lightly by my Brother, My Dad and myself. It was felt that to honor her properly would be best done at Her Church surrounded by those She loved and loved Her. So before you go posting your supportive comment on how HER FAMILY members treated Her, how about a call, we are all listed. Seems you put as much "effort" into your snide remark as you think we put into our obit decision.

Claudia will be missed by so many people. She really made you feel loved and comfortable in her presence. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled and everyone who came in contact with her felt they were adopted into her family.

We will miss you Claudia but know you are in our Savior's arms and free of pain.

I'd like to add a few more things about this wonderful woman and friend.

Claudia was quite possibly the sweetest woman I have ever met. She was sincere, kind, selfless and a woman who desperately and unashamedly loved Jesus.

Her dedication to her husband, Jack, was unparalleled. Her commitment to her family was constant.

Her love for my children was real. My wife and I consoled them as they cried at the lost of a dear friend.

I am thankful for all the times I got stuck at her house as she told me all about every one of her grandchildren, who she was so proud of. I am thankful for the times I had to slow down and show her how to use her new computer. I am thankful for the times that she scolded me as one of her own children, making sure that I was "loving my girls".

To her family: We love(d) this woman. We will be there to support all of you when we remember her amazing and selfless life.
