A fine, honest, loyal, straight shooting, highly intelligent man...a "down to earth man" with a quiet demeanor and shy smile.

H had a great love for his wife, Louise, and his daughter. May he rest in Peace...he gave so much of himself to pass on to others what he had learned in his lifetime. May God be with you Herm! Namaste' Genny Ingram (OLLI)

A lovely man. He will be missed greatly.
My daughter, Sarah, is away and cannot comment, but I know she thought very highly of him.

Mr. Schloss was my favorite guest teacher in the HUSD. He was always ready and able to take on any grade level and activity. He especially loved subbing for my 6th and 7th grade gifted LA and SS classes at GHMS where he would expound on literature and classic films of great books. Herman shared his experiences of leaving Germany during WWII with my students and many readers of the Courier have seen and heard him as a speaker during the Holocaust events at Yavapai College. My condolences to Louise, may you know that your dear husband enriched the lives of many students in the Humboldt Schools.
