Worship Services: Week of Jan. 11

PRESCOTT



All Saints Anglican ... The Rev. Walt Crites' message will be "Keep the Fire Burning." (Isaiah 60:1-10; St. Matthew 2:1-12). Fr. Crites will lead the Wednesday evening prayer and healing service at 6 p.m.

American Lutheran ... Rabbi Jack Zimmerman delivers the message at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. traditional services in the sanctuary. Pastor Jack Shannon delivers the message "Getting Out of the Way" at the 9:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. contemporary service in the Fellowship Hall. Chino Valley services are at 10:30 a.m.

Calvary Chapel of Prescott ... Pastor Raj speaks on the book of Romans at the 8 and 10 a.m. services. The 6:30 p.m. Wednesday service is an in-depth study of the book of Revelations.

Christian Fellowship A/G ... Service times are 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Cornerstone Evangelical Free ... Services are at 9:30 a.m. at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

FBC Prescott ... Pastor Chris Inman's message will be "Jesus, God's Faithful Branch." (John 15). Service times are 8:30 a.m. for Crosswind, 10 a.m. Classic, 10:15 a.m. Latino and 10:30 a.m. for Revive.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) ... The Rev. Lee Kraft's message will be "Fill My Cup, Lord." (2 Kings 4:1-7).

First Church of Christ, Scientist (Christian Science) ... The subject of the lesson sermon at the 10 a.m. service is "Sacrament." (2 Corinthians 13:14). Wednesday testimony meetings are 7 p.m.

First Congregational ... Pastor Jan Cheek's message at the 10:30 a.m. service will be from Isaiah 43:1-7; Psalms 29; Acts 8:14-17; Luke 3:15-17, 21-22.

First Evangelical Lutheran (WELS) ... The Rev. Thomas Rothe's message at the 9:30 a.m. service will be "O Lord, Save Us!" (Psalms 118:25, 26).

Genesis ... Pastor Eunice Pearson Wold's message will be "A New Start - with Confidence."

Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist ... The Rev. Dan Spencer reflects on where we stand as a country after Newtown's tragedy.

Hillside Church of God ... Pastor John Brint's message at the 10:30 a.m. service will be "The Love of God: A Final Explanation of Our Relationship with God" part 9. (John 16:16-33).

Pleasant Valley Church of Christ ... David Hicks' message at the 11 a.m. service will be "First-Fruits." His message at the 5 p.m. service will be "Spirit of Son-Ship."

Prescott Community ... Pastor David Ellis' message at the 10:30 a.m. service will be "Salvation is Deep and Wide." (Matthew 1:21, 9:21, 14:30; James 5:15).

Prescott United Methodist ... At the 5 p.m. Saturday country and gospel service and the Sunday 9 a.m. traditional and the 10:30 a.m. contemporary services, The Rev. David Alberts' message will be "Affirmation of Faith." (Luke 3:15-17, 21-22).

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran (Missouri Synod) ... The message will be "Threshing." (Luke 3:16-17).

St. George Orthodox Church of Prescott ... Vespers 5 p.m. Saturdays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Matins service at 9 a.m. Sundays followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. with Fr. Apostolos Hill.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church ... Saturday service is at 5:30 p.m. in the chapel. Sunday services are at 8 and 10 a.m. Wednesday healing service is at 10 a.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Mark Moline will deliver the messages.

St. Paul's Anglican ... Bishop Peter Robinson's message at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services will be "Unity in Christ."

Temple B'rith Shalom ... The Shabbat evening service on Friday, Jan. 11, celebrates the 15th anniversary of the dedication of our synagogue building. There will be a festive Oneg Shabbat with refreshments at 5:15 p.m. before the worship service at 6 p.m.

The Heights ... Services are 6 p.m. Saturday and 8, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

The Lord's Church ... Services are 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Trinity Presbyterian ... The Rev. Mark Tilly's message at the 8:15 and 10 a.m. services will be "When you Pass Through the Waters." (Isaiah 43:1-7).

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship ... Kay Lauster of the Chino Valley Historical Society discusses "Del Rio Springs, Chino Valley's First Settlement and Arizona's First (temporary) Territorial Capital."

Unity of Prescott ... The Rev. Tom Catlin's message at the 9 and 11 a.m. services will be "Resting Within, I Find Guidance." (Exodus 15:13).

Westside Christian ... Pastor Kevin Miller's message at the 10:30 a.m. service will be "Behold, the Lord Comes." (Jude 5-16).

Willow Hills 1st Southern Baptist ... Pastor Jesse Liles' message at the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services will be "Don't Hesitate - Investigate." (Nehemiah 2). Signing for the deaf at all services.

Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit ... The Rev. Pamela Schmaling delivers the message at the 10 a.m. service.

Beit Torah Jewish Congregation ... The topic for the Saturday 10 a.m. Shabbat Rosh Chodesh/VaEra Torah study service and oneg will be "Hardened Hearts: Pharoah, Qadafi, Assad...?" Bethel Baptist ... Pastor Joe Berna's message will be "Light for the Dark Road." (Psalms 119:105-112). His series entitled "The Mind of Christ" begins at the 7 p.m. Wednesday service.

Canyon Bible Chapel ... Service times are 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Christ Evangelical Lutheran (WELS) ... Pastor Stephen Hein's message at the 9 a.m. service will be "Look at the Amazing Choices God Made." (1 Samuel 16:1-13).

Emmanuel Lutheran ... Pastor Kirk Anderson's message at the 8:15 and 10:15 a.m. services will be "Claimed and Named." (Luke 3:15-17, 21-22).

First Southern Baptist ... Pastor Stoneman's message at the 8 and 11 a.m. services will be "Do You Want to Leave?" He continues the series "Christians, Cults and Counter Cultures" at the 6 p.m. service.

Hasid Center Jewish Congregation ... Shabbat services are 6 p.m. the 1st and 3rd Friday.

Mile High Worship Center ... Services are at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Mingus View Presbyterian ... The Rev. Lloyd Evans' message at the 10 a.m. service will be on "Baptism." (Psalms 29; Luke 3:15-17, 21-22).

Mountain Valley Church of God ... Pastor Don Tjiema's message at the 10 a.m. service will be "Choose Your Filling." (Ephesians 3:14-21).

Open Door Baptist ... Pastor Tom's message at the 10 a.m. service will be "Cornelius." (Acts 10:1-8). His message at the 6 p.m. service will be "Prophets: the Acceptable and the Unacceptable." (Micah 2:6-13).

Our Lady of Grace Old Catholic Church ... The Rev. Sherie Mercier's message at the 4 p.m. service will be "What Does Baptism Mean?"

Prescott Valley Church of the Nazarene ... The special guest is Mark Palm from Samaritan Aviation in Papua New Guinea. His father, Steve Palm, will be the speaker.

Prescott Valley United Methodist ... Pastor Wendy Swanson's message will be "Who Are You?" (Luke 3:15-17, 21-22).

Robert Road Baptist ... Pastor Hobby Wiles' message at the 10:50 a.m. service will be "New Beginnings." (Romans 8:28).

St. Germaine Catholic Church ... Saturday vigil at 4:30 p.m. Sunday masses at 8 and 10 a.m. and noon in Spanish.

St. John's Anglican Church ... Bishop Dennis Massey's message at the 2 p.m. service will be "Was It a Dream?" Father Gary Graveline and Deacon Mike Orley will assist.

The Church Next Door ... Services are at 6 p.m. Saturdays.

Chino Valley Bible Sabbath Church ... Saturday services are 11 a.m.

Chino Valley Community ... Pastor Phil Baley's message will be "God's Eternal Faithfulness." (Psalms 117; Psalm 89:1-8; 2 Timothy 2:8-13; scripture reading from Psalm 117).

Chino Valley United Methodist ... Pastor Don Benton's message at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services will be "How Dry I Am." (Luke 3:15-17, 21-22).

Hope Lutheran Church (WELS) ... Pastor Tim Henning's message at the 9 a.m. service will be "A Fresh Start Gives Us a Fresh Look at Life." (Isaiah 62:1-5).

Faith United Community ... At the 10 a.m. service, the Rev. Diane Thomas' message will be "God on the Loose."
