Best ideas for company health programs to be shared at Tuesday meeting
The Daily Courier


The next meeting of the Prescott-Area Wellness Group will be at noon Tuesday at the Pizano Center, 1959 Commerce Center in Prescott.

The agenda includes:

• Noon: Food and open discussion

• 12:20 p.m.: Introductions and brief updates on the group's mission

• 12:30 p.m.: Dan Leonard will speak on his company's wellness program

• 1 p.m.: Open discussion on what various companies have done to promote wellness, with a prize for the best new idea that has been implemented

• 1:15 p.m.: Al Peraza from the Yavapai Regional Medical Center Pendleton Center will speak

• 1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Jim Robak will present information about wellness programs from around the country and the state

"Healthwise" books from YRMC will be available, along with other handouts on the topic.

With the help of the local American Diabetes Association chapter, the Prescott-Area Wellness Group meets quarterly to share ideas and to learn helpful practices in promoting wellness in the workplace.
