The Yavapai County Planning & Building Department issued 254 building permits in May valued at nearly $8.9 million, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,165 permits at $31.1 million.
The 28 permits for single-family homes led the total in value at $6.6 million, followed by 44 permits other than structures at nearly $594,992. Permits for other than structures include swimming pools and solar installations.
The county also issued 22 permits for residential additions, alterations and conversions at $395,732, 11 permits for residential garages and carports at $242,400 and a permit for a service station/repair garage at nearly $227,421.
Also issued were four permits for manufactured homes at $190,000, five permits for additions, alterations and conversions to non-dwellings at $159,532, 14 permits for other non-dwellings at $147,572, 52 permits for building safety over the counter at $93,825 and 24 permits for septic only at $65,800.
The Prescott office accounted for 161 permits of the total, with the 15 permits for single-family homes leading the total in value at $3.9 million.
